Well here we are. I have made it back home after a wonderful weekend in Des Moines with the family and friends. It all started off on Thursday with a trip to Grandma Howard's house and an amazing dinner of turkey, meatballs, salads, jello, and hot apple cider. Yum!
On Friday I spent the day with my pals Eric and Cliff and we went to Boone to check out the brand new high speed bridge built by the Union Pacific. It is an awesome spectacle of engineering that my Grandpa Howard would be proud of! I'm sure he would get ahold of some blueprints if he could and go over every detail of the whole thing. After spending some time running trains with Dave and the boys I took Amy to Nicks apartment and Jessica, Nick, Amy, and I all watched Top Gun on Blu-Ray on Nicks huge TV........AWESOME.
On Saturday I helped my pops get an old fridge out of the dining room to make some room for other things. It was HEAVY! After that, Amy and I made a trip to the hobby shop and picked up a few odds and ends. After this I made my way to Grandma Spencers house for a Christmas celebration of eating and bozo bingo. What a crazy night.
Well the weekend was sure full but it was great! I loved getting to see all my family and friends and hopefully will make it back for Christmas!
